Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18, 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix had an early flair for athletics when she was taking classes at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She was able to see her speed-running ability at the moment. The school placed second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks after her first trial. In 2003 Felix was a senior in high school by signing a contract as a professional athlete with the athletics company Adidas after which she enrolled in the University of Southern California where she studied elementary school. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She broke a Junior World Record by doing 200 m in 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently among the top 3 athletes in her various events in the Olympics that took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
