Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model since November 11, 1996. Her feature film debut was a tiny role in The James Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Then, later, she portrayed Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Doovan played Charlotte as Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was asked by a photographer to model who asked her to model. Then she began a career of commercial modelling. Doody was very cautious about doing glamour or nude work. The rule was extended to Doody's acting work. In 1985, after getting noticed by the directors of casting for an upcoming James Bond new film, Doody took a small portion of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was listed as one of the 12 most promising new Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody was only aged 18 when she made her appearance in the Bond part. To date, she is the youngest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying (1997), starring Mickey Rourke, also featured a smaller role as IRA Siobhan. Doody appeared as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 TV version from The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. The episode of the Storyteller Sapsorrow was her first leading role. The episode aired in 1988 alongside John Hurt, Dawn France as well as Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. In the following film, she played her greatest role in the film Taffin as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazisympathiser The doctor. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody appeared alongside Sean Connery in the film, as Indy's dad. Doody was a part of Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries, a British mini-series that was inspired by Hitler Diaries. Then, she moved to Hollywood. She took over Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson's role. Then she played Flannery Sheen's girlfriend and his agent alongside Charlie Sheen, as Major League II was released in 1994. After almost a decade away from the stage Doody returned to acting with a small role in 2003 British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine acting as herself in an awards ceremony scene. Her roles include a TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004, a booklet about the Holocaust as well as an animated short called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody made an appearance as a character in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. She later guest starred in RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to appear in a remake of horror classic The Asphyx but the project was later put on hold. She began her first two seasons on Beaver Falls, the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she appeared on We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). On 21 November 2018 she was awarded by the Almeria the tierra de cine prize as well as an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
